Food is very delicious. They only have one cook though, so it does take a while to get your order but he's quick for only being one person on the grill. They should definitely add one more. The tables are clean and the place overall is well taken care of, you can tell they actually care about maintaining a clean environment. You can fit about 4 people for booth with plenty of space.

This restaurant never fails me from the size of the food to the taste for a reasonable and affordable price and service crew specially the cashier is friendly i have nothing to ask for. Btw its cash only just an fyi to people who'll go here for the first time. Can't wait to be back here for more.

Walking by Tapatia makes it clear about one thing; they take their meats seriously The food is delicious and fresh, as well as very affordable. It's further complimented by a salsa bar where the both the green and red salsa provide a nice flavor contrast, as well as other toppings to keep the meal interesting it's hard to find places with tacos under $2 so to find a place where it's affordable and good is always a pleasure

Been the original Mexican spot since the undergrad days in OC area It's so good to be back! Yes warning only take cash but you get a flavorsome bang for your buck. Food: a must is the order of taquitos! The rice, beans, guac, queso, and lettuce with the fresh to order taquitos are my to die for order. No old oil aftertaste and the taquitos were filled with spicy shredded chicken or beef. The Asada burritos are massive for $7.99 which are generously stuffed and delicious. The salsa bar has chopped onions, the best chile verde, limes and pickled carrots / jalapeños. Go for the tacos - birria and Al pastor are the best! Tender meat and no needed extra condiments because the taste is on queue and seasoned to perfection. When I'm extra hungry the Asada nachos to go are a forsure. No matter what I will always be loyal to this place because their food is so comforting Environment: it's a travel to get here from Irvine but after a long day or a treat yourself day this is a needed stop to fuel the soul. It's a hole in the wall with original family Mexican food Service: the same lady has been working the cashier for years and is a nice Tia to everyone. The cooks are efficient and diligent. Amazing service Overall: I been going here since freshmen year of undergrad and returning back for nostalgia Mexican food memories, it is just as yummy. After our disappointing experience, we stayed away for almost a year. Thank gosh we decided to give them another chance. It was just as delicious as we remembered and reminded us of why we love this place so much. *CASH ONLY* Carne asada tacos are my go-to, priced at $1.99 each.
